Author: Shannon Cron
A Minneapolis, MN native, Shannon loves writing about the funny, tender, compelling, and messy, often all at the same time. She's guided by how storytelling gives us the tools to understand ourselves better and live life more purposefully and confidently. Her favorite genre is nonfiction, specifically personal essays, but she also enjoys playwriting, fiction, and just recently began to dabble in the world of podcasts.
Her work can be found in The Wry Times, Broadway Beat, and the Nordly. In 2021, she was a Martha's Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing Author Fellow. In 2016, she wrote, directed, and produced "She Looks: A Cabaret About Redefining What It Means to Have an Eating Disorder," where she was able to devise the world alongside local arts and donate ticket sales to the Emily Program Foundation.
When she's not writing, she works in college admissions and continues to try to get her partner's cat to like her (all tips are welcome).
