Raised in Norfolk, Virginia, I am a reform rabbi and have worked in the field of Jewish education for twenty-seven years. I am the author of Honest Answers to Your Child’s Jewish Questions (URJ, 2006) a chapter in The Sacred Encounter (CCAR Press, 2014), and most recently The Baseball Haggadah: A Festival of Freedom and Springtime in 15 Innings (2015). I have had essays published and posted in Forth Magazine, Kveller, The Jewish Journal, Moment Magazine.org, Literary Mama, Mothers Always Write, Mamalode, Lilith.org, The Times of Israel, ReformJudaism.org, The Bitter Southerner, Parent.co/Motherly, Coffee+Crumbs, Better After 50, Moms and Stories, the Write Launch, Funny Pearls UK, and Grown and Flown, and even a tiny love story in The New York Times. I live with my husband and three children in Westchester, New York, where I tutor bar and bat mitzvah students (now on FaceTime), struggle to complete a novel about Jewish magic, and attempt to take peaceful walks with my mischievous dog.
